Lucero IV, Director Museum of Indigenous People; Ernesto Todd Mireles, Frantz Fanon Community Strategy Center at Prescott College; Rev. Anthony Mtuaswa Johnson, Sedona Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. La Tierra students read poems. 

    December 17, 2022. Mary Steenhoek, Prescott Peacebuilders founder, received the 10th Annual Albert Lovejoy Memorial Social Justice Award from Granite Peak UU.

    October 11, 2024. Manuel R. Lucero IV, Director, Museum of Indigenous People, presented Peacebuilders with his own handmade talking stick for use to peacefully moderate our meetings. 

    November 2024. Launch Pad “Better Together” Dinner. Several Peacebuilders were table moderators. 

  • January 19, 2025. Movies with Meaning. “Joan Baez, “I am a Noise.” In this biography that opens with her farewell tour, Joan Baez takes stock in an unsparing fashion, confronting often painful memories and opening up about her history with mental illness, her family, drugs, ageing, and questions of guilt and forgiveness.

    April 5, 2025. “The Truth About Migrants and the Border: Stories of Humanity and Hope”. Presentation and film at Prescott College by filmmaker and humanitarian David Damian Figueroa, Rita Danks, and Gail Kocourek. Panel: David Damian Figueroa, Maria Elena of Prescott Indivisible; Justin Yuille, Prescott College; Celia Bavier, Borderland Community Alliance.

    May 2025. The Center for Compassion and Justice (CCJ) of Prescott becomes our fiscal agent.
