Welcome to
Prescott Peacebuilders
We are a community of friends committed to creating a more compassionate, connected world—starting right here in Prescott, Arizona.
At the heart of our work is a shared commitment to nonviolence—not just as a strategy, but as a way of life. To us, nonviolence means showing up with compassion, cooperation, accountability, openness, uniqueness, and a willingness to disarm—within ourselves and in how we engage with others.
We choose:
Dialogue over division
Connection over conflict
While we may not be able to eliminate the violence that is thrust upon us, we can envision a world without it—and take meaningful steps each day to build that future. That might mean disarming our words, shopping with intention, voting with our values, or choosing not to support organizations that profit from war and harm.
We greet the world with kindness, recognizing that everyone carries pain. A simple smile, a hand to the heart, a moment of compassion—these are acts of peacebuilding.
Our Mission
The Prescott Peacebuilders' mission is to inspire our community to believe in and work toward a more peaceful, sustainable world.
Prescott Peacebuilders is inclusive. We are committed to building an identity of peace, justice, and mutual respect.
Our Principles
We believe community is a powerful force—it fosters belonging, supports emotional well-being, and drives social change.
We are:
Inclusive – Welcoming people of all backgrounds and beliefs
Non-partisan – Guided by values, not politics
Non-denominational – Open to all spiritual paths, and none
Community-driven – Focused on connection, care, and social impact
As of July 2025, we are proud to be affiliated with the Coalition for Compassion and Justice, who now serve as our fiscal sponsor.
